19 Weeks

Picture taken on Jan. 27th I was 18 weeks 3 days. 5 Months out from the due date!

We are 19 weeks today! Baby is approximately the size of a mango at 6.0 inches!

Baby S is sprouting hair and working on it's 5 senses.

We had our sonogram on Tuesday and everything went perfectly! We got into the sonogram office and I asked the lady if she would write down the baby's gender and not tell us and she agreed but then told us that since we weren't quite 20 weeks that it's possible we would have to come back if we can't see all of the anatomy.

This card is now filled in and in Michele's hands and I PROMISE that neither of us looked!

Well the baby was sleeping and not in the best position for the sonogram tech to see everything so she kept pushing on my stomach to get the baby to move around. The baby was folded in half with it's feet and hands by it's face.

Eventually the baby got in the right position and we were able to get all of the scan done. At the very end she said to look away if we didn't want to see what the baby was. Well Josh had his eyes glued to the screen and I only peeked for a second. We both have our assumptions but I'm only about 50% sure.

We have our gender reveal party on Saturday and I'm SO excited! When we got back to town on Tuesday we went straight to Studio 11 and gave Michele the filled in card so that she could make the surprise cupcakes.

I can honestly say that I have no idea if this baby is a boy or girl. I will be surprised either way and I'm getting really anxious!!

18 weeks!

We are only 2 weeks away from half way! Crazy how fast this whole thing is going!

Our sonogram is 5 days away and our gender reveal party is 9 days away! I'm SO excited to see if we are having a boy or a girl!! It's all I can think about!

At 18 weeks the baby is 5.6 inches long and 6.7oz! Man this baby is growing fast!

Baby is yawning, hiccuping, sucking and swallowing according to TheBump.com and is the approximate size of a sweet potato.

Josh and I were laying in bed Sunday morning and he had his hand on my stomach and the baby kicked his hand twice! Josh couldn't feel it but I could and it was pretty darn cool! I'm excited for the baby's kicks to get harder so Josh can start feeling them.

Last night at youth group Pastor Lori told me that the church wants to throw me a baby shower on May 11th. It's mother's day weekend and they thought that fit well! I'm excited for my first mother's day weekend and the shower!

My dear friend Leah Griffith gave me a bunch of maternity clothes and I tried on some of the clothes last night. I was so excited when I put on a pair of maternity pants and they fit perfectly! You're darn right I'm wearing them today and I'll probably be living in them until I get some more pants. They are so comfortable! Don't get me wrong the belly band was great for keeping my pants up and getting to wear my prepreg jeans unbuttoned but I'm just getting too big for that and it got old having to adjust it constantly.

17 Weeks

17 Weeks Preggo!

Baby is the size of an onion at 5.1 inches long and 5.9 ounces.

Our baby now has one of a kind prints on fingers and toes!

We have 12 days until our next sonogram when we get to see our little one swimming around!! We might also see if it has girl or boy parts at that appointment too! SO EXCITED!!

Another exciting thing is that my boss came into work today and asked if we should take our husbands to Washington, D.C. on our work trip in a couple weeks and I said "HECK YES!" I knew Josh would be excited and willing to go because he has been asking about going ever since I told him I had to go.

Okay so back to baby stuff... I feel the baby tickling me like he/she is just brushing me with it's back or something. It's a weird feeling. I'm officially up 1.5lbs from pre-preggo weight and I'm hoping we stay at this rate! If I only gained one pound per week the rest of my weeks I would only gain 24.5 total pounds and I would love that!

16 Weeks

We made it to 16 weeks! I had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday and the heartbeat was 148 and we heard the baby moving and kicking the doppler a lot! Quite an active little one we have! It actually took the doctor a while to find the heartbeat because the baby was moving and kicking so much. Josh was super excited to hear that the baby's heartbeat was 148 because he is so caught up on the wive's tale about 140's and lower is boy and 150's and higher is girl. I'm surprised at how much lower the heartbeat was this time. At 7w4d it was 162 then at 11w5d it was 157 and then at 15w5d it was 148.

THE COOLEST part of the appointment was getting to make my NEXT appointment! On January 29th we will have our sonogram to determine if our active little person is a BOY or a GIRL!! I can't wait!! 19 days and counting!

So other than getting to schedule our sonogram the baby and I had another great moment this week. Yesterday I was getting really tired about 2:30 in the afternoon. In years past Michele and I would walk down to the Sweet Granada and get a little chocolate snack to pick up our afternoons but since she hasn't worked with me this last year, I just haven't gone. Well when I felt like I hit a brick wall yesterday I decided I would take the walk and ask if Teresa (my boss) wanted to go. Well we went down there and got some chocolate and walked back. I sat down at my desk and dug into my Granada goo (it's rice krispies with peanut butter and deliciousness covered with a layer of chocolate). I took a couple bites then a drink of water and then I felt three little pushes from the inside of my body down on my lower left side. I think it's safe to say that I felt the baby move for the very first time yesterday afternoon (1-9-13). It was pretty darn great! I wasn't expecting to feel movement for another couple weeks but I'll take it!!

15 Weeks

This picture was taken at 14 weeks 4 days but it's a pretty good picture of the bump, right?

Baby Stevenson is now the size of an apple! Our next doctors appointment is on Tuesday and then I'll get to schedule my sonogram to find out the baby's gender!! SO EXCITED!! I still feel like it's a boy but I guess we'll see soon enough.
I'm still not quite back up to my pre-preg weight and I'm okay with that as long as my doctor is!

We are now throwing around the name Zane Joshua if our little one is a boy.
